WINE STORE CONCEPT DESIGN

Concept 8

This retail concept focuses on creating a wine store that is both design-conscious and sustainable. Floor-to-ceiling shelving in warm, responsibly sourced timber and blackened steel doubles as the main display, so the bottles do the decorating and there's no need for extra fixtures or finishes that add cost and waste.

A tall glazed storefront pulls daylight deep into the space, cutting the need for artificial lighting during the day. At night, low-profile LED strips tucked into each shelf put the light on the labels instead of flooding the room, using very little power. Pendant fixtures over the central island add a softer layer for tasting.

The waterfall-edge stone island anchors the room as the tasting and checkout point, with wooden crates built into its base for storage and display. Trailing plants along the upper shelves soften the wall of bottles.

The goal is to pair a refined retail experience with practical sustainability, giving customers a space that feels warm and upscale while staying efficient and responsible.
