RESIDENTIAL LOBBY RENOVATION

Concept 8

A lobby concept for a residential building in Downtown Manhattan. Terrazzo floors, dark-stained wood paneling, and perforated bronze screens set the material palette. The bronze is the connective thread: it wraps the structural column, frames the elevator surrounds, and scales down to backlit door plaques in the corridors. Same material, three scales, one idea.

Lighting is embedded rather than applied. Cove details and the glow bleeding through the perforated screens make the warmth feel like it comes from inside the materials themselves.
